A Kind of Destiny

With the majestic buildings and garden of Ripponlea as their background, the bride and groom looked serenely happy as they “tied the knot” in a symbolic hand-fasting ritual. Even though their earlier paths had brought them tantalisingly close to each other – going to the same school, sharing mutual friends and interests, and living in the same neighbourhoods – they did not meet until a school reunion nearly twenty years later. You could say that theirs was a kind of destiny that was just waiting for the right moment to reveal itself!  It was particularly  special to have their five children in the wedding party.
