Practice makes perfect

For nearly every wedding, there’s a rehearsal. Sometimes the couple feel they’re too busy or it’s not necessary, but I really try to persuade them to at least meet at the venue and get a sense of the space they will be in; check out the bad weather fall back; make any last-minute changes and practise essential parts of the ceremony, such as the entry, the vows, any rituals and the exit. It’s amazing how often I get the feedback: “We didn’t think we really needed a rehearsal, but now we’re so glad we did. everything went perfectly and we had no anxious moments.”
